Shania Twain & Taylor Swift for CMT

Thelma & Louise are probably the most iconic female heroines in film history.
And now Country music stars Taylor Swift, 21, and Shania Twain, 45 have taken the legendary roles on.
The two women recreated scenes from the film, which originally starred Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis, in Taylor's hometown of Tennessee in a pre-taped segment for the Country Music Television Awards.

Thelma & Louise was co-produced and directed by Ridley Scott.
The film's plot revolves around Thelma and Louise's escape from their troubled and caged lives, but in a turn of events, the women go on the run after killing a rapist.
The film has an iconic ending, when the two women drive their car off a cliff and into the Grand Canyon.
