Zac Efron Gives Charity Top Dollar For Locks Of Hair

In the upcoming film The Lucky One, Zac Efron was forced to wave goodbye to his well-groomed locks for a more traditional army buzz cut.


In the movie, the actor plays a marine who spends three tours in Iraq carrying the photo of an unknown mystery woman in his pocket. After finishing his final tour, Efron’s character goes in search of the unknown woman that he believes is his lucky charm.


To up the ante, the star said he would make a donation to Kingsley House children’s charity for each crew member who also shaved their head. Did they get on board?! You better believe it! Over 30 people got the buzz cut, including two women who donated their hair to Locks of Love.


“He likes doing things for charity. Two Make-A-Wish kids came a visit to the set while he was there and he felt like he wanted to do something for a New Orleans charity since he had such a nice time shooting there,” saus Efron’s publicist Gina Hoffman (who sorta has no choice but to give quotes like that one).
